Was looking thru my previous posts from the start...all in all my highlight of 2006...

Jan... Started blogging. For me, creating a page and learning about it from scratch is exciting enough. It is a new thing...still exciting after 12 months of entries.

May... Made 'the ultimate decision of the year' and planned my first solo trip.
Met him. Met the people who brought him to life which i am forever grateful. Spent the first precious times - eating, cooking, laughing, crying, getting angry, getting lost (some take for granted cause they have the advantage of being so close)...and yet still getting to know him...

July... Lost the one therapy whom i had since he was a bald baby...now that hes gone, oh man i miss him...all the time.
They right, only when its gone that u know what u truly lost. But the fact is u lost it and u move on, like it or not. Why still dwell on it? Regret is a bad thing. Just let it be. Things happen for a reason. Fighting to win it back just to compensate for what u lack, do u think its fair? Just let it be. Theres always a reason behind everything that happened. I see it as a test...from God.

September... The resurrection of my fone that took the dip in the sink. The goodbye of someone who made me feel like i am someone with a voice, among the throng of bloodsuckers.

October... Official month of ageing 1 year older.
Recoinciled with him...was introduced to more wonderful people who matters. I so much appreciate the time spent and the memories that will last. More to come...insyaAllah...Amin.

In between, i learnt the meaning of friendship, sincerity and honesty. There are people who make friends and there are people who make fair-weather friends. The actual intention is only known to themselves.

I do not make resolutions...but i hope to accomplish something...InsyaAllah. I know have the support from people who matters.

So i went to the album launch - thank you for the 'less than 1/2 hr' Va-va-vogue look !! :)

U guys who were not there...tsk tsk tsk...should have been there you kno.

Of course he sang live to the songs on his album, accompanied by performances by some very talented very young bunch! awesome beatbox by Zul Mystroe, the very cute casual Malay performance by FreakyZ, the spotted (at Suria Raya Karnival *ahem ahem*) Allif, the absolutely harmonious vocals from Rif...comparing them in the album which i'm listening to now (i got one for myself, not complimentary ah excuse me!) him performing it live way way much better! i can still remember how he performed them earlier...

People, the album is $20. This 'penggemar' of him HUGEly recommend it to you. Songs self-written by the man himself, except for 'Apakah Salah Beta' (What Wrong Have I Done)-written/composed by his father. U heard his previous hits 'Seribu Tahun' & 'Ghaibmu'...in here, my personal fav is 'Hanya Menari' (Just Dancing). Give you preview from the launch (because i'm oh so nice!) just so u'll go get the album...u will remember the tune and the words cause its so 'friendly'!

performing with him there is Rif (excellent vocals).

all songs written with deep soul-touching simple words. When u get the album, check out his 'homework'- 4 rangkap pantun (an oral literary form of expression traditionally used among the Malays) as transition in between songs.

Go get it. Support local talent.

Of course, whats me going to events without any pictures right?? *heh*

So the handyman came to change the blinking flourescent ceiling light and instead of using a ladder like a handyman would use, he did a mini acrobat move and stepped on my desk...and if that wasnt bad enough, he didnt remove his 'karate-looking' rubber-soled shoes!

Whats a girl to do when her first ever online purchases were delivered 1 week earlier? (i like this online store...they update u on your order and they individual wrap and seal your items, if you have not experienced it before.)

Anyway, one can never resist the offer of 'urgent' shopping when invited, yes?

And having a colleague with info of a certain store offering 50% off storewide - irresistable, yes?

That same colleague introduced some seasonal 'snowy balls' from a certain store that made even her other colleagues 'addicted' to it..! (who later assisted her sugar rush by buying for her another packet!)

No prizes for guessing who...

Just a note (re-correction) on the due belated b'day celebration at Mad Jack:

- The 'raw presentation' bit originated from the guys from 'Mad Jack'. (re-correction done upon correction from Miss Organiser)

- The b'day candle-lit fruit tart + singing b'day song march in from the kitchen were the restaurant's idea.

Including the dimmer of the light while singing.

Part - 1

Had a dept 'bonding session' at Laser Quest after work today. The last time i went was when they were located at the pre-renovated Marina Square. that was what...in 1997?? sometime around that era la... *heh*

anyway the last time i played, my rank was one at the lowest bottom.

but this time round, i redeemed myself man!! first game, my score: 299 - rank 1, was due to the fact that everyone were still warming up. and plus, i had a perfect target - who wore a shirt with white details on it !! (maaf cik Khalid! *heh*)

but the second game - to determine the 1st and 2nd placing, with everyone warmed up and seen who were the stronger ones...my score: 168 - rank 4.

nevertheless, team Eliminators eliminated everyone! with first game: 880 and second game:960.

the top prize - $100 cash (to be shared among 5 team members la) but rather $$ than a bagful of chocolates rite?? *heh*

after huffing and puffing at the game, (really tiring ok, no joke..! theres a 'No Running' rule but cant be expecting people not to run and hide after getting hit izit??) we car-pooled to Mad Jack...

Part - 2

Organiser Yati kept telling me how accomodating and how nice the people at Mad Jack have been to the constant changes she been giving them. now i kno why...

as a tradition, the department celebrates monthly birthdays.but the Oct and Nov babies didnt get their celebration cause it was the fasting month followed by Eid.

like madness we got ours!

starters was soup and their yummy 'Garlic Chez Bread' (super duper yummy!) but picky me asked if i could have the salad instead cause of all soups, they had 'chicken corn soup'. yeah like soo yummy right...NOT!

so after my 2nd helping of the yummylicious brocolli+raisin+peach salad in a thick white cream dressing, i noticed everyone got their main course. happily munching away their fries and slicing their grilled chicken while i patiently wait for my 'Grilled Fish with cream sauce'.

finally the waiter in a white polo shirt came and i was presented with...'Grilled Chicken in black pepper' sauce! then i told Organiser and saw white polo shirt guy mouthed to her that they cannot change the order. hmmm...riiiiight...

anyway, that wasnt so bad...

when i stood up and turned around (to check who else got their orders wrong), 4 others were given their order but...uncooked version - i mean bloody yucky RAW !! i saw Nat and Id got their chicken, ungrilled! and Farlina got her grilled fish, ungrilled version too!!
She even began to cut up her raw fish la (maybe she was too hungry?) and also the guys from the restaurant came over to their table and convincing them its their specials - with straight faces! then i thought to myself, at least i didnt have that grilled bird in front of me...cause a few from my table volunteered to exchange their 'Fish & Chips' with the bird...phew!

excited me kept laffing and telling those on my side what i saw and came to a conclusion that they got theirs uncooked cause maybe its their b'day month! then it hit me...Nat and Id are Oct babies too...so i sat down and shut up.









yes, it was a b'day gag for us! Farah told me that she saw white polo shirt waiter ran to the kitchen cause he couldnt contain his laff!! was told that it was all planned by the restaurant! readers if u want to sabo a certain someone for their b'day...this is one place for u to go to!
plus they started playing 'Ice Age 1' when we arrived but changed to 'Army Daze' on their giant flat-screen, when we were nearly done. Ahhh...reminiscing the days of what i think is the bestest local movie made so far...'i cannot see you, u cannot see me!' *hahaha*

After the confusion from the 'Choc Banana Cake' and 'Black Forest Cake', the lights were dimmed and the guys from the restaurant came out with mini fruit tarts with a lighted candle each singing 'Happy Birthday'! soo nice..!! (poor thing the other dine-in customers who didnt get any light for that few seconds *heh*)

It was a great bonding session, minus the drama and fakeness la...peektures below...

i am such a fan that i used to watch the opening (where they play the song and have the scenes of each character taken from previous episodes) and recall where exactly the scenes were from. i could ok! but lost after like season 7 onwards. anyway...have fun reliving the moments..if u a fan of course! if not, u bored and just want something to look and laff at, here u go!

'Mission 010' was a success, altho i didnt kno when it was happening!! the case of the missing bag was repeated Thursday night. this time the victim was the mastermind of 'Mission 009' herself!! *heh* but i gave her clues if she was freezing cold or really hot ok... :)

i missed it out on my previous post. to dear Shan Shan, i found my bag with the help of a kind soul-thanks Nat...!! she stood up, told me to sit on her hot seat and when i looked down, my bag was below her desk! sorry Yati for the shriek i did while i was on the fone with u... *heh*

anyway, back to 'Mission 010', not only once...she got 'punked' twice la! both times by mastermind MrLion. who will be next?

saw the full moon tonight...Subhanallah...amazingly gorgeous la! the last time i saw a full moon was when i was on the ship...the night sky...clouds here and there...stars shining...total darkness beyond...sound of the waves...the company i was with (of course!)...the only light out of the ship was from the moon...reflected on the ocean...so surreal...like a portrait backdrop...seriously. heres a pic of it...



cantik right? and not forgetting the super cold wind hitting my face la.

time now 1.35am, white cat wasnt on my doormat when i came home. and i just peeped out and he still not there...wonder where he sleeping tonight. poor thing...

its proven that i am only human (a selenge [blur] one at that!) when...

1. i acknowledged the taxi driver and continued talking to him when he was actually talking to his friend on the fone!

2. i only noticed my bag was missing from under my desk when it was time to leave work altho the bag was gone since after lunch!

the best part...all these were seen (pure coincidence!) by Yati, the witness -of the talking to myself in the cab and the mastermind of 'Mission 009'.

-Yati, i want to tell u something... 'Ada lori, ada bus...Lain hari boleh balas la!' (Theres a lorry, theres a bus...another day it wont pass - in other words, revenge is suuuweeeeet !! *heh* - direct translation so dont make sense! but the gist of it is there la) ;)

anyway, on Tuesday night i jumped (anjat gerl gerl!) when i reached home...want to see what i saw?



i tell u, he (yes a HE) was soo chilling to the maxxin!! btw, hes not mine. just an UNinvited napper on my doormat! *heh*
*sigh* how i rindu Nai...and saya rindu AWAK too, of course! ;)

on a different note altogether, i'd rather soft fries than crispy ones. if i'm sharing a tray of fries and u see some soft 'wilted' fries on my corner of the tray do not..i repeat DO NOT touch them. i save the best for last...

i'd rather keep my dipping sauces separated. do not ever mix my sauces -mayo& ketchup/chilli&mayo/tartare&chilli...this can go on!!

i kno someone who mixes the BOMB drinks...eg. lemonade + soda water...he came up with that then it went into production...you could have patented it man~!!

but...i mix my curry gravy when eating prata. i mix my Indian Rojak gravy with my chosen rojak assortment. i mix my thosai and the gravy when i'm having it only at home.

did i tell u that i lurrrve my 4GB IPOD NANO? Thank you, YOU ;)

p.s: nothing to blog about...the reason for the diversion of friendship to fries to drinks mix to thosai to moi's NANO. its the Monday blues man!! *heh*
