The dinner that made me really full! a full moon... ;)

Items on the menu like spiced brown rice, skewered chicken and beef, 'falafel', very yummy crispy battered fish cutlets, puree 'hummus', many many dressings like garlic mayo, lemon yoghurt eaten with Mediterranean flat bread. Washed down with a 'dates and rose water' drink. Finished off with mango mousse, home-made chocolate based cupcakes and bread & butter pudding. *burp*

Watched 'Dreamgirls' with Farah and i liked it! We missed like the first 15 mins of it but that didnt spoil it for me. :)

The Oscar win for Jennifer Hudson was well deserving. As a newbie, the character she played, 'Effie White' was very diva! The impact of her performance, I felt like giving her a blardy tight slap on the face...that good.

There was a scene with James 'Thunder' Early (Eddie Murphy, who played so-so) who was high on drugs, while performing on stage and he started stripping. Yours truly, (and my ideas of spoofs) started imagining him changing to 'Norbit'...hahaha

Anyway,

the musical bits of the movie blended in smoothly. I clapped after each song cause it was so 'power' especially after 'Listen'...simply wow.

Go watch it if you dont mind musicals. I enjoyed it. :)

I guess perception and ideas change when the wind blows, isnt it?

The thing that you fear your whole life comes knocking and you welcome it with open arms, forgetting all that was said (with much enthusiasm, then) in the past rather easily...the one person that you swear not to be, well you are.

With or without you noticing.

p.s: i did an entry on the post Saturday thingy but 'Slide' wouldnt let me add pics! So we'll just have to wait till they get user-friendly back again to see the pictures taken.

The best part, it ended on time..!! no headache... *phew*

After wondering what to wear, i went with the classic LBD...accessorised with a gold necklace, simply. coincidentally and unplanned, most of them were in black too! more pictures when i get them...but for now...

After that, some of us went to Kaki5 for the 'Almond/ Hazelnut/ Oreo Revolution' with everything added in...really sinful ok! whipped cream...ice cream...drizzles of hot fudge...heavenly brainfreezed bliss. :)

And the cab ride home was interesting cause i thought uncle cab driver was trying to keep himself awake by talking non-stop...!! he even talked about the distance of trees planted on the pavement by the roadside...and no, this time he wasnt talking on the fone...confirm! *hehehe*

Why do i feel like i'm the only one working on it?

Hmmm...might have something sorted for Saturday's thingy. loads of teeny tiny bits to think of...mani&pedi? make-up? hair? arghh!!

I went to watch 'Norbit' Monday afternoon and honestly i was disappointed. Might be cause i had high expectations of short-of-breath laffs and plenty of really funny jokes (after watching the trailer, on tv and online) but...that didnt happen. Halfway thru, i was shaking my leg so i wont fall asleep.

I managed to spot 2 goofs in the movie - a stray hair that got stuck on adult Norbit's hair when he fell down from his bicycle lesson with Kate. And Rasputia's robe that didnt cover her thighs, in a frame, when she was talking to Kate at the swimming pool lounge chair.

One good thing worth a clap from the movie, Mr Wong's character really spoke like a chinaman! I had to remind myself that that was Eddie Murphy and not some chinaman extra.

Theres cutesy (who looks more yucky-as in tikopeh [pervert], then cute in this movie) Marlon Wayans (consolation for me!) who played 'power tap' dance instructor with buck teeth. There was a little of Marlon's ass on the screen when Norbit caught him showing his 'power tap' dance moves to his wife...on their marital bed.

Well, those are my thought on the movie. I'll leave it to you if u want to watch it. Your humour level might be different from mine. For the record, i'm not an Eddie Murphy hater and i'm fine with fat jokes, but this movie - just doesnt work for me.

So this was an interesting week.

A treat from a dear Mom who sent cakes and puff to the office for her birthday boy (and his colleagues!).

The irony of returning from the hospital then having to go there back again cause of a mini accident.

Btw, change is good right...?

Last minute dinner plans that turned out well. We should do it again la!

And everyone loading up on Vitamin C from a super huge box of 'mengerutu' (so not smooth-skinned) oranges.

It got personal.

Its not funny when the joke that you try to make concerns someone sick.

And doing it for a 2nd time, just for a comeback from the 1st ignored joke (altho everyone heard you then) about the same subject, is just being very rude, insensitive and totally ridiculous.

To even try and defend by blabberring to yourself and giving a reason why you let that teeny tiny judgemental narrow minded little brain of yours think of a 2nd try of the insensitive joke is just...beyond me.

Calling you stupid, is an understatement.

I still have so much more,but I'll stop right here.

p.s: i think i'm getting sick myself after all this venting...lookie lookie! reached my 5k mark! cant really count it as that much, but looking at the numbers is giving me a good feeling...*heh*

Remember a while back (maybe a few years even!) a report about some people making a much bigger ship than the Titanic? well, 'Queen Mary 2' is all ready and it passed beneath the Golden Gate Bridge...imagine being on the super duper huge ship and being able to see the underside of the bridge...like real close ok! WOW!!
