Monday night bus ride home

My Monday night bus ride home was interesting cause by default, i made a new friend. By default i meant he wanted to sit alone, rather than with his parents who were seated behind us.
It all started with him saying 'hello' to me. It got my attention after the yelling he did (in Swiss-not that i understood la) cause i was zoning out...what with the Monday blues and the cold weather after the late evening drizzle.

Our conversation went something like this:

Him: 'I like to take the bus. Singapore has a lot of buildings. Everyone lives in a building. But my friend does not live in a building.'
Me: 'Yes, Singapore do have a lot of buildings. Why doesnt your friend live in a building?'
Him: 'He lives in a house.'
Me: 'Can you take the bus to his house?'
Him: 'No. You can take a taxi.'

The bus stops at the traffic light.

Him: 'You see the green man? It means people can walk'

Green man changed to red.

Him: 'See now the bus can move'
Me: 'Yes and the bus is moving fast. Hold on tight.' (Referring to the handles in front of him)
Him: 'I'm going to back home to Switzerland tomorrow.'
Me: 'Oh yeah? Are you taking the bus? A taxi?'
Him: 'No. I'm taking an aeroplane.'
Me: 'Oh wow! Is the aeroplane bigger than this bus?'
Him: 'Yes. Its this big.' (He showed how big the aeroplane is, all of his arm's length)

Him: 'I have a firetruck.'
Me: 'Does your firetruck make any sound?'
Him: 'No.' (He yelled at his father and turned around and was holding the mentioned firetruck)
Me: ''Oh wow! That is a nice firetruck'
Him: 'A firetruck saves people from burning buildings'
Me: 'Has this firetruck saved anyone? Where is the driver?'
Him: 'Yes! There is no driver'
Me: 'Then whos driving the truck?'
Him: 'Me.'

Him: 'Look at that, its a bus driver.' (After looking up at the bus poster)
Me: 'Oh yes. Is that the same bus driver?'
Him: 'No. This driver is wearing a pink shirt. That one is blue'
Me: 'The same colour as your shirt'
Him: 'This is my school uniform. This is my school' (Pointed to his left sleeve and turned his body sideways for me to see his school's logo)
Me: 'I can only see Singapore'
Him: 'See! See!' (He turned more to let me see)

And then it was time for him to alight. His parents came to our seat. His mom said he talks non-stop and his dad said he knows everything. I told them yes, he taught me how the traffic light works. Even after we said our goodbyes...

Him: 'Bye...! Where are you going?'
Me: 'I'm going home!' (The bus driver didnt close the door...Hahaha!)
Him: 'Where?'
Me: 'Bye Adrian!' (By this time, the door closed for the second time)

My friend's name is Adrian and he is 4 years old. :)

Cheated upon

I tell myself that i'm immune when i know i am not. Opinions are starting to irritate me. I just want them to shut up.

Things are happening and i have been keeping the chosen eye closed, in one ear and out the other.

Will i still have you beside me when all is over and done with?
